Locale – Case Study


Together with my co-director I set up and ran Locale Ltd for three years before deciding to return to freelance online consultancy. I designed, specified and managed the build of an online database to manage multiple community websites offering localised information to commercial property clients. These took the form of Occupier Web Sites (OWS) offering both user interest in the form of local information, as well as a communications channel between property managers and occupiers.

I managed the production for this and other project work for a number of clients, both pre-existing that I brought into the business (and retained on leaving), as well as new clients acquired while at Locale.

Working with property clients such as Knight Frank, Jones Lang LaSalle, DTZ, Goodman, Lambert Smith Hampton and others, Locale became the largest supplier of commercial property community websites.

I left the company at the end of December 2009, retaining a shareholding and investment in the business. Locale continues to provide OWS services to property clients.
