What is GPRS?
GPRS stands for 'General Packet Radio Service'. It is the newest form of mobile network in the UK, launched in June 2000. GPRS allows data to travel faster, so you get a faster surfing or download speed than GSM (which is the traditional network that you make voice calls on). Using GPRS also means that when someone calls you, your phone will still ring, and you won't miss the call. Once you have finished the call you can go straight back to surfing.
