Search Engine Marketing

Google's AdWords search marketing programme

Usually deployed in conjunction with Search Engine Optimisation services, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) services are provided to artificially promote websites by increasing their visibility in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), through the use of paid ad placement, contextual advertising and paid inclusion.

The ad programmes run by Google, Yahoo and Microsoft (the biggest search ad providers) require an in-depth knowledge of these services and the effect of a range of variable factors such as budget, keywords, ad content, quality score and bid types, as well as experience of handling clients’ marketing budgets effectively. Reporting on the efficaciousness of ads is key to securing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, who in turn need to be committed enough to entrust their budget on an agency basis where it is handled on their behalf. Google in particular run an agency program to train and improve knowledge of AdWords through tutorials and training assessment.

Current monthly online client advertising budget managed ≈£12,500.00
